Last night I made this for dinner and it came out great!  I don't generally eat steak a lot, but this came out so good!  I would definitely make it again.  It was very tender and tasty!  Also, it was very simple and fast to make using my trusty cast iron pan (I love that thing!)  The best part? My kids ate it!

Ingredients

  • N.Y. Sirloin Steak(s) (around 16oz) about 1 1/2" thick
  • Adobo
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 Cloves of garlic sliced

Instructions

  • Season steak with Adobo on both sides and let rest room temp while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
  • Heat butter and oil in cast iron pan over med-high heat.
  • Add steak, cook until browned and medium rare, flipping once, about 5-6 mins.
  • Transfer steak to dish and cover to keep warm.
  • Lower heat to medium, add garlic and cook until light golden brown, about 1 minute.
  • Top steak with garlic mixture.

This recipe was so simple and came out so tasty!  With the steak, depending on what you have, you can use 2 or 3 smaller steaks, or 1 larger one.  I used a larger one, but it came out so tender!  The cast iron pan really browned up the steak nicely.  This is a great way to cook steak in the house in the winter. We will definitely be eating this again.
