Brisket Rub

Brisket Rub

This summer we tried cooking brisket for the first time, and it was awesome!  We are not new to using the BBQ.  Whether its cooking burgers, or slow cooking a pork loin all day, we have definitely done our fair share, but never really brisket.  After some searching on Google, I found this recipe for dry rub from foodnetwork.com.  After a few small tweaks, it was great!

Ingredients

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients in bowl.

When preparing brisket, brush with olive oil before applying rub so that it will stick. Apply the rub at least 2 to 4 hours before cooking. The rubbed meat can also be refrigerated overnight to increase the flavor.
